Eligibilty for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

• Students with Calculus-based Mathematics as a subject in the 12th standard
  The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is open to anyone who has completed Class 12 or equivalent with Calculus-based Mathematics as a subject. Such students can start their Mathematics courses in this programme directly from taking MAT281 Multivariate Calculus.
• Students with Non-Calculus-based Mathematics as a subject in the 12th standard
  Such students need to take a few bridge Mathematics courses (MAT142 Introductory Calculus AND MAT146 Intermediate Calculus) so that they get ready to register for MAT281 Multivariate Calculus.
• Students without Mathematics as a subject in the 12th standard
  Candidates who have been admitted to the University in another Major or Undeclared Major/Programme and who do not have Calculus-based Mathematics at Class 12, will have to take bridge Math courses (MAT123 Precalculus, MAT142 Introductory Calculus, AND MAT146 Intermediate Calculus), and achieve a satisfactory grade in those courses as prescribed by the University before they can apply for a change of Major to Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Once they change their Major, they need to take MAT281 Multivariate Calculus.
• Students without Mathematics as a subject in the 12th standard but have international certification of Calculus-based Math skills
  The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is open to anyone who has completed Class 12 in any subject but holds an international certificate of Calculus-based Math skills like AP Calculus. Such students can start their Math courses in this programme directly from taking MAT281 Multivariate Calculus.

Note: Students without the relevant background in mathematics (especially lack of Calculus skills) may be required to spend additional semesters beyond the norm for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) programme to complete the programme requirements.

Eligibilty for Life Sciences

• Students with Biology, Physics, Chemistry subjects in the 12th standard
  Admission Eligibility - The Integrated Master of Science in Life Sciences programme is open to anyone who has completed class 12 or equivalent with Biology, Physics and Chemistry – all three subjects being required.
• Students without Biology/Chemistry/Physics as a subject in the 12th standard
  Candidates who do not have one or more of these subjects at class 12, will have to take prescribed MOOC Courses in one or more subjects out of Biology/Chemistry/Physics (whichever were not at her plus two-level) and achieve a satisfactory grade in those courses as prescribed by the University. The student can then apply for a Major in Life Sciences. Credits or Grades obtained in the above referred MOOC (qualifying exams) courses will not appear in the University transcripts.
  For the above category of students, over and above the subject specific MOOC Courses, the University may also insist on clearing its own Diagnostic Test, in the corresponding subject(s) (up to class 12 level Biology and/or Physics and/or Chemistry of the CBSE level) to be conducted in June every year. Based on the scores/grades of the candidate, a committee constituted by the university may approve the admission to the major. The committee may also suggest a few extra courses to the candidate based on the performance.

Eligibilty for Physics

Physics and Mathematics in Class 12 are compulsory.
