The Integrated Master of Science in Life Sciences programme aims to impart a sound understanding of the basics in life sciences, an aptitude for research, and ability to undertake diverse and challenging career opportunities in industry and academia. Our objective is to provide research education in life sciences at an early stage, in order to inculcate an interest in scientific and industrial innovation. 

The Integrated Master of Science in life sciences introduces students to the basic areas of biology as cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology and later in certain specialized branches of biology such as cancer biology, nanotechnology, research methodology, recombinant DNA technology and bioinformatics. The laboratory courses will introduce students to research methods in biology and the 18 months long Master’s thesis will help them to pursue. their research in an area of their interest. Students wanting to pursue their career in industry can substitute credits with an extended industry internship or an industry project. Our unique hands on pedagogy trains students to think outside of biology and try to solve a problem from a multi-disciplinary perspectives to become well-rounded scientists. Students can also pursue alternative career opportunities like entrepreneurship, science management, scientific writing as well as in the field of data science.

 The Programme admits students who have completed Class 12 or equivalent with Biology, Chemistry and Physics as subjects.
