The BCom Professional programme, is the first of its kind in India which is specifically designed for students who are pursuing or intending to pursue, concurrently, professional qualifications like Chartered Accountant (CA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Company Secretary (CS), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) along with a BCom Honours degree. It is a programme that integrates, within an academic programme, both, the theoretical aspects of professional education, as well as formal technical and practical training in the form of internships/articleships.
The BCom Professional programme enables students to excel in both their professional courses and the School's demanding undergraduate education thereby earning an undergraduate degree as well. This includes a range of courses tailored to complement students' learning requirements in their professional courses. Students enrolled in this programme also earn up to 27 credits for the articleship or internship they undertake for the professional qualification. These credits will be counted towards the completion of the BCom (Honours) programme requirements.
The school's choice-based credit system gives students the flexibility to choose their course load in each semester - a strategic aid during those semesters when students are preparing for professional exams. Additionally, students can take a break in form of an academic leave for a semester or two before returning to complete their programme.
