Our Programmes are aimed at providing broad and deep education that will equip students to navigate the world in which they live and become agents of change in the betterment of one's own life and that of the society. Towards that, our Admissions process consists of a holistic review of aspiring students' profiles that are based upon multiple criteria. In general, preference is given to those who demonstrate the academic preparation, personal qualities and potential to thrive in our unique and challenging learning environment.
Our Admissions process is based on a holistic review of your application. We consider your Personal Statement, extracurricular and sports achievements, academics and could ask you to meet us for a Personal Interaction.
In evaluating applicants holistically, we use several criteria that include the academic performance at class X, XI, and XII, together with co-curricular and extra-curricular activities such as action-learning research projects, internships, volunteering in communities, sports, performing arts, cultural and social service participation, where applicants have demonstrably pursued their passion.
The SAT is not a compulsory requirement to apply to Ahmedabad University. However, it is one of the different factors that we take into account while considering your application. Students who have appeared for the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) are advised to submit their SAT scores while completing their application form and are required to provide the official transcript through the College Board to Ahmedabad University, using Designated Institution (DI) Code 6760.
Aspirants are compulsorily required to write a Personal Statement for us to get a more in-depth insight into the candidate's aspirations, their authentic reflections about their personal preferences. This Personal Statement is also the avenue for aspiring students to inform us about their unique and specialised traits that would make them great candidates to join the highly talented cohort of Ahmedabad University's undergraduate students. Candidates are advised to write their Personal Statement sincerely, truthfully and honestly.
The selection process includes interaction with shortlisted applicants. The personal interaction is a mechanism for the University to get to know more about students who have applied for admission to Ahmedabad University, and for applicants to know more about the University. It allows us to learn about the applicants' achievements, passions, attitudes, motivation, readiness to learn, family circumstances and life-changing experiences. Interactions will be conducted at the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. For outstation students, we also conduct Skype interactions.
