Applications are invited from suitable candidates to work as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Wireless Engineer (WE) at the Machine Intelligence, Computing & xG Networks (MICxN) Research Lab, School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ahmedabad University, or as a Wireless Engineer at TechSture Technologies India Pvt. Ltd., on the sponsored research project financed by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications (MoC), Government of Gujarat, India.
Project aim: This project focuses on developing a 6G-based V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communication system in Ahmedabad to advance Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). By leveraging Cellular-V2X (C-V2X) technology, the project aims to provide vehicles with real-time, critical information from roadside infrastructure, helping drivers make safer and more informed decisions. The C-V2X communication system enables seamless communication between vehicles and infrastructure, such as traffic signals and sensors, sharing vital data about the vehicle's surroundings, including nearby landmarks, other vehicles, pedestrians, weather, and road conditions. Advanced sensors like cameras, LiDAR, and radars installed in the infrastructure will collect this data to support traffic management, accident prevention, and vehicle control. With ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) capabilities, the 6G network ensures real-time, safety-critical data exchange. This project aims to create a connected, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) in Ahmedabad, enhancing road safety, reducing congestion, and setting a new benchmark for smart cities.
