Chief Digital Officer

Role Summary: Provides leadership and executes the digital transformation of the University to create & support new & deep learning and research opportunities. Provides, integrative management, and direction for the University’s shared information systems, to include institution-wide strategic planning, budgeting for information technologies, and coordination and integrations of all University IT matters and Recommends IT policy at the highest level. Serves as the University’s senior spokesperson on issues related to digital technologies and services for academic, research, and administrative purposes. 

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pioneering transformational education system focussing on integration of digital in teaching and research to enhance their impact.
  • Provides leadership towards building of a digital repository of academic material and library network.
  • Understand and translate at a sytems level the IT needs of students, faculty and administration.
  • Provides institution-wide direction of the management and operation of shared information services across the University.
  • Constantly upgrade and update various management systems. Develop collaborative system for its stakeholders while d. eveloping automated processes and governance.
  • Enable IT services effectively to all users and provide timely support.
  • Leads, guides and oversees the institutional information technology budgeting process, and provides leadership in cost and productivity analysis.
  • Leads the process of determining the priorities, projects, and future directions of the University’s IT functions.
  • Integrates and coordinates the development of and implementation of IT programs across the University, to achieve maximum institution-wide efficiencies and synergies; coordinates the identification and prioritization of required IT initiatives among the University’s various operating components.
  • Monitoring the industry trends and develop industry connects.
  • Maintains professional contacts with other Universities, external research entities, equipment manufacturers, and professional organizations concerning existing and developing information technologies.
  • Leads and guides the design, establishment, and maintenance of the organizational structure and staffing required to effectively accomplish the University’s goals and objectives in information technologies.
  • Provides guidance and counsel to the University LeadershipSenior Management/executive council in the examination and definition of objectives for existing and/or proposed information systems and the design of improved systems.
  • Performs any other related role as determined by the University.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • M Tech or Master’s degree; minimum 15 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solution skills.
  • Excellent understanding of relevant technologies and services that are available.

Regional Manager, Outreach, Office of the Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid

Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad/ Mumbai 

Reporting to: Associate Director, Outreach

Level: Manager

Role Summary: The role holder will plan, participate and execute all aspects of a conducting a highly professional Outreach Program. The position incumbent (based in Bangalore and Hyderabad) will develop strong relationships with high schools to engaging with students, counsellors, parents and other stakeholders making them aware of the University offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and update the high school’s data across the country, and coordinate with them for visits for Open Houses, Webinars, Education Fairs, Workshops and other outreach events for prospective students, families and counsellors. 
  • Requires extensive travel to reach out to various select schools and spread awareness about the University and its programs. 
  • Coordinate all aspects of the On Campus Visit Programme including managing logistics, group information sessions and campus tours. 
  • Coordinate and partner with faculty, leadership and non-teaching staff at the University to promote the University and its offerings at multiple fora.
  • Assist in providing inputs on a variety of communication/content for admission and financial aid related marketing materials, projects and events (Newsletter, presentations, brochures, poster, website, social media announcements, application instructions, videos, pictures etc.) for prospective and admitted students, high school educators, parents and the campus community. 
  • Conduct regular evaluation of the outreach efforts to measure success and for continuous improvement of services. 

Key Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, Organisation and communication skills including Public Speaking. 
  • High proficiency to operate MS Office. 
  • Strong English Writing Skills. 
  • Professional demeanour and friendly/congenial personality. 
  • Open to extensive travel and work with people from diverse backgrounds.

Qualification: 

  • Graduate in a social science, communications, public relations, commerce/business/marketing or related field with relevant experience working with high school students and coordinating events 
  • 5 – 8 years of relevant experience

Assistant Dean of Students (Wellness)

Reporting to: Dean of Students

Level: Mid-senior level

Role Summary: This is a post for a vertical – Wellness – within the office of the Dean of Students. The incumbent would be responsible for driving wellness initiatives for both mental and physical health of the University students and employees. Apart from actively providing psychological counselling, the role demands monitoring of the medical facilities.

Responsibilities

  • To deliver personally and oversee the overall Wellness services at the University for students as well as for employees, by way of counselling and through the medical health centre.
  • Help develop psychological tools and programmes to help students cope with anxiety, stress, depression, issues related to relationships, etc.
  • Identify serious mental and emotional issues and take appropriate action and provide referrals if required.
  • To provide guidance to the team of counsellors/psychotherapists at the University.
  • To set-up and successfully lead support groups.
  • To design and coordinate programmes for new students through the orientation of the incoming batch.
  • To manage the Office of the Dean of Students and its attending documentation, reports preparation, budgeting, web content etc.
  • Create awareness on issues such as ragging, sexual harassment, cyber misconduct, substance abuse, gender parity, sexual orientation, etc. through talks, posters, workshops, panel discussions, etc.
  • To create a culture of trust, confidentiality, sensitivity, empathy and compassion for the student community and to offer a welcoming and a calm ambience to all visitors to the wellness centre.
  • To continually evaluate the growing wellness needs within the University community and plan to provide for them.
  • To anticipate the scale (of student growth in numbers) and plan for a team structure that can cater to it.
  • To ensure that student centric initiatives become best practices.
  • To help achieve mandatory compliance for governmental directives and create amongst the student community a sense of responsibility by sensitising them to issues such as ragging, gender parity and sexual harassment.
  • To drive Parent Engagement initiative.
  • Any other role assigned by the Dean of Students and the Vice Chancellor.

Associate Director/ Director, Office of Alumni Affairs

Reporting to: Vice Chancellor

Role Summary: The role is to promote the agenda of building a robust network of alumni of the University that are spread across the globe. The position will be responsible for strategizing, planning and curating activities to meaningfully engage with the alumni community; increase their involvement with the University; thereby building of a lifelong relationship and eventually establishing an alumni association.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out clear goals for the Office of Alumni Affairs aligning with the vision and mission of the University
  • Develop a road map to achieve the goals by curating short-term and long-term strategies and corresponding activities for the successful and smooth functioning of the office.
  • Successfully drive the agenda of the office through careful planning and execution of the laid-out activities.
  • General office administration
  • Build, manage and maintain healthy relationships with the alumni community
  • Instil a spirit of camaraderie among alumni
  • Inspire alumni to contribute to the growth of the students and the University
  • Increase alumni footfall on campus and their registrations on the alumni portal

  • Develop professional affiliations and collaborations and to seek philanthropic commitments which would inspire alumni to establish lifelong relations with the university
  • Build and  an alumni association and national as well as international city chapters
  • Lead and manage activities of the office covering, but not limited to the following areas:
    • Creating a database of alumni and a collection of photographs
    • To ideate, curate and coordinate events and activities with and for the alumni
    • To increase student-alumni engagements as well as faculty-alumni interactions
    • Enhance alumni experience at the University
    • Increase the visibility of the Office externally and internally
    • Build a strong digital presence
    • Creating brand recognition within the alumni community
    • To develop reports on alumni profiles and engagements
    • To support other functions and students of the University by leveraging the alumni community
    • To coordinate efforts internally in the office and between various schools, functions and offices of the University
  • Any other activity as suggested by the Vice Chancellor
