The two-year tuition fee for the incoming class of 2027 is INR 5,00,000* (INR 2,50,000 per annum) and INR 20,000 (INR 10,000 per annum) towards books/ course materials/activity charges.

What is the eligibility criteria for the MS in Economics programme?
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. Final-year students are also eligible to apply. Students with Mathematics at Class XII level or relevant university-level coursework in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics or Data Science are preferred.
Which entrance test scores are accepted for MSE?
Applicants may submit scores from CUET-PG, CAT, GATE, IIT JAM, GMAT or GRE, as applicable for the admission cycle. Applicants who do not have a sufficient score in an accepted test may appear for the Ahmedabad University Graduate Aptitude Test (Economics).
Is there a minimum cutoff score for the entrance tests?
There is no single fixed cutoff mentioned for the programme. Applications are evaluated holistically, considering academic performance, entrance test scores and the Personal Interaction.
Can I apply if I have not appeared for any of the accepted entrance tests?
Yes. Applicants without a sufficient score in an accepted entrance test can appear for the Ahmedabad University Graduate Aptitude Test (Economics).
Can I submit my application first and provide my entrance test score later?
Yes. You can submit your application first and update your standardised test score later, subject to the applicable admission process.
Do I need to complete the application in one go?
No. You can save your application on the application portal and return later to complete and submit it.
Is work experience required for admission to MS Economics?
No. Work experience is not mandatory. Fresh graduates and final-year students are eligible to apply.
Can students from disciplines other than Economics apply?
Yes. A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is accepted. Applicants with relevant quantitative preparation are preferred.
How will I know if I am shortlisted for the Personal Interaction?
Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email ID. Applicants should regularly check their inbox and spam folder.
How will the Personal Interaction be conducted?
Personal Interactions are conducted with faculty members and may be held on campus or online, as applicable.
