Is there any minimum score required in the entrance tests?
There is no fixed minimum cutoff. Shortlisting is based on a holistic assessment of your overall profile, including academics, entrance test performance, and other achievements.

Can I apply with multiple test scores?
Yes. You may submit multiple valid entrance test scores, and the best score will be considered during evaluation.

Which entrance test scores are accepted?
Applicants must have appeared in at least one of the following: CAT 2025, GMAT, GRE or AMSOM-PG.

When can I appear for AMSOM-PG for MBA?
Our Office of Graduate Admissions team shall update you on AMSOM-PG entrance test after you have submitted your application.

Where can I appear for AMSOM-PG for MBA?
AMSOM-PG for MBA will be conducted online with proctoring.

Can I appear for AMSOM-PG if I already have a CAT 2025 / GMAT / GRE score?
Yes, you can. In the entrance test section select – “I would like to opt for AMSOM-PG test”.

Is it mandatory to appear for AMSOM-PG test?
No, if you have a CAT 2025 or a valid GMAT or GRE score you don’t have to appear for AMSOM-PG test.

Can I submit my entrance test scores later, after submitting my application?
Yes. You may submit your application first and update your entrance test score by 31st March 2026.

Do I need to submit my application in one go?
No. You can save your application on the application portal and return later to complete and submit it.

Will work experience in a family business be counted?
Yes. Your work experience gained after completion of your bachelor’s degree, including experience in a family business, will be counted.

How will I know if I am shortlisted for a faculty interaction?
Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email on their registered email ID. Applicants are advised to regularly check their inbox and spam folder.

Do you have any quotas?
Admissions are strictly merit-based.

How will the faculty interaction be conducted?
Faculty interactions will be conducted either on campus or online via Zoom.

Is a book review mandatory to apply for MBA?
No.

What can I write in the book review section?
You can sharing your takeaways from it, what are the broad messages or questions the book raises, new concepts you learnt which expanded your understanding of the topic, fresh ways of seeing a problem or a situation, habits you can apply in work, study, or daily life, memorable quotes and passages, etc.

Is it mandatory to submit a Video SOP?
Yes, you can record a video on any one of the four themes listed in the selection process.

Can I record the Video SOP from my mobile phone?
No, use your laptop or PC with high speed internet, web camera and mic.

Can I make changes to my application after submission?
No. Once submitted, the application form cannot be edited.

Can freshers apply to the MBA programme?
Yes. Fresh graduates are eligible to apply. Final-year students graduating in 2026 may also apply.

Are scholarships available?
Yes. Ahmedabad University offers merit-based scholarships on tuition fees to applicants with high entrance test scores and exceptional overall profiles.

• Generous scholarships up to a 100 per cent waiver of tuition fees will be granted to students with high entrance test scores and a strong academic record
• Scholarships are more likely for Round 1 (Early Admits). For Round 2 applicants - merit-based scholarships (on tuition fees) will be offered only if available.
• Continuation of the scholarship in the second year requires satisfactory academic performance.

Are Bank loans available?
Yes. Offered candidates may avail education loans from public or private sector banks and NBFCs of their choice.

Does the tuition fee include books and course materials?
Yes. The tuition fee includes the cost of course materials – books, case studies, etc.

Does the fee include a laptop?
No. Students are required to arrange their own laptops.

Will I receive on-campus placement assistance?
Yes. The Career Development Centre (CDC) provides end-to-end career support, including internships, live projects, placement preparation, and final placements.

Does Ahmedabad University offer housing facilities for MBA students?
Yes. Ahmedabad University provides fully residential student housing facilities. The standard accommodation is twin-sharing, air-conditioned rooms with modern amenities.

Is it mandatory to stay in the housing facility provided by Ahmedabad University?
Yes. It is mandatory for all MBA students to reside in Ahmedabad University’s housing facilities.

How far is the student housing from the campus?
The housing is located within one kilometre of the Central Campus.

What facilities are provided at the student residences?
Facilities include furnished rooms with beds and wardrobes, study tables, attached washrooms, laundry services, internet, medical support, security systems, and transportation to campus.

How will students commute between campus and student housing?
A free shuttle bus service is provided for students.

Will I receive an MBA degree or a diploma?
Upon successful completion of the programme, students are awarded an MBA degree from Ahmedabad University, a State Private University established under an Act of the Gujarat State Legislature and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Are specialisations offered in the MBA programme?
The Ahmedabad MBA is a general management programme. Instead of rigid specialisations, students choose from a wide range of electives across Finance, Marketing, Operations, Data Sciences, Technology Management, Public Policy, Sustainability, FinTech, and more, allowing you to design pathways aligned with your career goals.

Does the MBA programme offer industry connect?
Yes. Industry engagement is a core strength of the programme and includes field projects, summer internships, live consulting assignments, industry electives, leadership talks, conversation series, and engagement through VentureStudio and the Career Development Centre.
