Venture Lab: 90 minutes Startup Challenge

Venture Lab is a fast-paced, hands-on startup ideation challenge designed to simulate the early stages of building a venture.

Many students have ideas but lack the opportunity to test them in a structured, time-bound environment. Venture Lab addresses this gap by pushing participants to think critically, act quickly, and build under constraints. Through a unique two-chit mechanism, participants will be randomly assigned an industry domain and a target customer segment, requiring them to identify a real problem and develop a startup solution at that intersection.

Working individually or in small teams, participants will have 90 minutes to ideate, structure, and prepare a pitch using available tools such as laptops, AI, and internet resources. The event culminates in short, high-energy pitch rounds followed by audience voting to determine the winning idea.

Venture Lab focuses on creativity under pressure, structured thinking, and effective communication. It provides participants with a practical experience of startup building, encouraging them to move beyond ideas and take action within a collaborative and engaging environment.
