Stage to Page

The Theatre Club, in collaboration with The Literary Club, wishes to conduct a hands-on script writing workshop, "Stage to Page" where our participants will learn to write using the basics of scriptwriting, including storytelling structure, character development, dialogue, and formatting. Simulating theatre artists, they will also learn to enrich the script with innovative blocking techniques and dynamic performances. Participants will delve into the interdisciplinary nature of these two art forms, dissecting literary themes and characters and using exercises and activities to craft compelling scripts designed for the stage.

The workshop will be conducted by Professor Savan Zalariya, Adjunct Professor, School of Arts and Sciences, who is also affiliated with Scrapyard-The Theatre as a director. The event aims to serve as a pivotal learning junction for the student community.
