Project Expo: An Exhibit of Design Solutions for Real-World Problems

Design Innovation and Making (ENR200) course students have showcased a range of innovative projects addressing real-world challenges at the Project Expo. The projects span diverse categories, including safety, sustainability, health, and daily utilities. Highlights include solutions like emergency evacuation bridges, deployable shelters for workers, solar-powered cooling systems, and tools for reducing back pain. Additionally, projects focused on food preservation, accessibility for visually impaired individuals, and practical utilities like trolleys and tracking systems, reflecting the application of design thinking to create impactful solutions.

Offered as part of the Monsoon 2024-2025, the course builds a strong theoretical foundation in creativity, innovation, and design thinking while guiding students through structured steps from idea generation to prototype development. By focusing on customer requirements, detailed design, and product validation, students systematically create novel solutions that meet real-world needs.
