Liberal Tech and Futuristic Trends in Engineering
Engineering is the key to understanding and addressing critical challenges of the modern world. Scientists and engineers in the 21st century must be prepared for a complex, diverse, and global work environment. They must be equipped to work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative manner at the interstices of traditional disciplines. Among their chief skills must be negotiating the ethos of automation and specialised skills and learning, critically analysing, and creatively responding to a changing world.
Developing a skill set such as this requires the knowledge of basic sciences, engineering fundamentals, core aspects of the engineering discipline, and an understanding of humanities, culture, ethics, and social aspects of our society. Engineering education at Ahmedabad University has a rigorous programme structure that allows its students the flexibility to learn various concepts in an integrated manner.
