It is of great relevance to understanding how the LGBTI community can affect or contribute to Businesses in the country. Mr Salil Tripathi, who has worked on a UN Report (unfe.org/standards) for LGBTI rights in Businesses, shared his insights with the students. He discussed various initiatives and advertisements by business houses and gave examples of how the LGBTI community is beneficial to their business. The contribution of the LGBTI community towards the GDP turned out to be an eye-opener for everyone. The interactive session concluded on the note that as individuals, how we can make a positive difference on this front.
