Rajesh Gopinathan is a seasoned business leader with over two decades of experience in the technology and consulting sectors. He served as the CEO & Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) from 2017 to 2023, steering the company through a transformative phase of digital innovation and global expansion. Under his leadership, TCS strengthened its position as one of the world’s most valuable IT services firms, pioneering advancements in cloud computing, AI, and enterprise solutions.

Mr Gopinathan joined TCS in 2001 and played a key role in shaping its long-term growth strategy. He was instrumental in driving TCS’s Business 4.0 framework, which helped enterprises leverage automation, analytics, agile methodologies, and cloud computing to enhance efficiency and scalability. His strategic vision and focus on sustainable innovation enabled TCS to achieve record-breaking revenue growth and strengthen its global workforce.

A graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from NIT Trichy and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, Mr Gopinathan has extensive expertise in corporate strategy, financial planning, and digital transformation.
