International Yoga Day
This International Yoga Day, take a breath, roll out your mat, and join us for a refreshing yoga session right here on campus! It’s a wonderful opportunity to pause, stretch, relax, and reconnect with yourself. The Office of the Dean of Students is happy to announce a special yoga session for you on International Yoga Day. The details are as follows:
We’re excited to have Swati Sadhwani, a certified yoga instructor and an alumna of Ahmedabad University, as our facilitator. With over eight years of teaching experience, she and her team will guide you through the entire session beginning with oxygenating the body, stretching it gently, relaxing the mind and then slipping into a deeper relaxed state in a short and simple meditation session. For those of you who cannot sit on the floor, the asanas will be modified, so you can learn how to do chair yoga.
What to bring: Your yoga mat, even if you’ll be doing chair yoga, some poses will make use of the mat. Also carry your water bottle.
Whether you are new to yoga or have already embraced it, this is a special invitation, start your journey or deepen your practice while enjoying the beauty and calm of our green campus.
