The Art of A Happy Exit, a book by K Srikrishna, answers these questions and more through the stories of 20 entrepreneurs (from India, Silicon Valley, and the MidWest) who've sold their businesses with varying degrees of happiness. The book helps entrepreneurs get prepared for all that selling their business entails.

The author, K Srikrishna, is a veteran of four entrepreneurial ventures and a professor at Northeastern University teaching entrepreneurship and innovation. He holds a PhD in engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He grew his first startup from a bootstrapped organisation to a global leader in wireless stereo before its acquisition in 2006. Since then, as an investor and a mentor, he's been a part of over ten exits.
