Film Screening: Mrs Robinson

We are delighted to host Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland, at Ahmedabad University on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Mary Robinson is the first woman President of Ireland (1990) and former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (1997); former Chair of The Elders; a passionate advocate for gender equality, women’s participation in peace-building, human dignity and climate justice.

The event will begin at 5 PM IST with the screening of the film, Mrs Robinson, on the life and work of Mary Robinson in the areas of human rights, gender justice and climate action. This will be followed by a panel discussion with Mary Robinson, Pat Mitchell (co-founder of TedWomen), Professor Darshini Mahadevia and Professor Minal Pathak on climate justice and action. 

This event is organised in partnership with SEWA (Self Employed Women's Association) and is open to non-Ahmedabad University students. Registration is mandatory to attend the event. Please use this link to register.
