Basant Bahar
The Heritage Club presents Basant-Bahar, a two-day celebration of spring that brings together music, dance, storytelling, and poetry rooted in India’s diverse cultural traditions. Inspired by festivals such as Basant Panchami, Holi, Bihu, and Nowruz, the event explores artistic expressions associated with the season of renewal and joy.
Across two days, Basant-Bahar offers the campus community an opportunity to experience and engage with classical and folk art forms that celebrate spring.
Pravah-e-Basant
Pravah-e-Basant brings together storytelling and classical dance to set the tone for the festival. A Dastangoi by Umer Kapadia traces stories from the history of Ahmedabad, bringing the city’s past alive through words and performance. This is followed by a Bharatanatyam presentation on spring by Manasi Karanai, exploring the season through rhythm, movement, and expression. Together, these performances offer a powerful introduction to how stories of place and season can be told across art forms.

Pushtimargiya Sangeet offers a rare opportunity to experience devotional music associated with the spring season.
