The Foundation Day began with Anand Mela, an activity initiated by the University students. They came up with different stalls (Food stalls, Game stalls etc.) and entertaining activities for young kids from a humble background. Year after year, the Anand Mela experience has grown richer and more meaningful. To make this experience even more enriching, this year the University students have invited children from twelve city-based NGOs, namely SEWA, Samvedana, Visamo, Balprasoon, Smile Foundation, Laddoo Foundation, Sparsh, Vidya Daan, Sarjan, Gulbai Tekra Municipal School, and children from the juvenile home. In total around 1200 children from the weaker section had visited the Campus and were indulged in various fun games, educational activities, and tasty food. The organizing committee of students along with other University students managed the sponsorship and resources to conduct this entire event. It is one of those rare occasions of inclusion of the privileged ones with the underprivileged; a meaningful experience for participants from both the sections of society.
