Bringing Art to Life: Exploring the Worlds of Theatre and Visual Arts
How is an idea built and taken forward through a range of artistic languages? In this workshop, participants will explore how disciplines such as visual arts, story-telling, theatre, and poetry can come together to address a socially relevant topic. Through hands-on activity, the workshop will demonstrate the contemporary and interdisciplinary nature of performing and visual arts. Brief discussions on a few artists’ works in the history of performing and visual arts will also emphasise the role of art in society, bridging the gaps between the artistic endeavors of creative individuals and contemporary social issues.
