Sherwin Rodriguez's Awarded Prestigious Translation Fellowship in 2023 South Asia Speaks Mentorship Programme

Writer-translator Sherwin Rodriguez is a recipient of the prestigious Translation Fellowship in the South Asia Speaks mentorship programme 2023. Sherwin will work on translating Tamizh Prabha's novel, Pettai, from Tamil to English. His translation of a Tamil short story was also shortlisted for the 2022 Mozhi Prize. Sherwin, a recipient of a fellowship from the JCB Foundation to pursue the PG Diploma in Literary Translation, has translated B Jeyamohan’s Maadan Moksham. His poetry has also been published in publications such as Underground (Georgia State University) and Third Coast (Western Michigan University).
