Rinita Banerjee Translates Collection of Micro-Fiction, Deer! Deer! and Other Micro Stories, from Bengali

The Bilingual Window, a short-fiction journal for Hindi and English translations, has published a set of five micro-fiction pieces translated from Bangla to English, originally written by Swapnomay Chakraborty. These stories, titled Deer! Deer! and Other Micro Stories, have been translated by Rinita Banerjee, Diploma in Literary Translation, Class of 2023. They straddle, with an unusual lightness of touch, quotidian lives and their disquietudes, but with something untold, mysterious lurking in the background.
