Professor Dharmesh Varade, receives funding from ITC Life Sciences and Technology Centre

Professor Dharmesh Varade, School of Engineering and Applied Science, has received funding for his project, 'Solution Properties of Mixed Surfactant Systems' from ITC Life Sciences and Technology Centre, ITC Ltd. Bangalore. The fund amount is approximately Rs. 50 Lakhs for the three-year-long project (August 2017 - July 2020).
The main objective of this project is to develop a profound understanding with a tailored approach for utilizing surfactants in mixtures. This project involves a multitude of activities ranging from a selection of surfactant mixtures, understanding and optimization of surfactant self-assembly, and evaluating the physicochemical properties of the mixed surfactant systems. We envisioned a long term programme to develop innovative solutions for creating design rules for utilizing these surfactant combinations in formulating the products. Prof. Varade is the principal investigator of this project.
