Professor Abrar Ali Saiyed visits the U.S. as a Part of International Visitors Leadership Programme
Professor Abrar Ali Saiyed from Amrut Mody School of Management has been selected for the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). The ECA Bureau has recognized Professor Saiyed's long-standing capacity building work in different social and minority communities of Ahmedabad. He has particularly been appreciated for providing training to school teachers in government and private primary schools, who are less advantageous. He will be visiting the U.S. for four weeks (1st April - 10th May 2017), which is fully funded by the US Embassy and Consulate in India. During his stay, he will be meeting local leaders and other prominent educational and non-government organization heads in the USA. More than 200,000 International Visitors have engaged with Americans through the IVLP, including more than 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government. Launched in 1940, the IVLP helps strengthen U.S. engagement with countries around the world and cultivate lasting relationships by connecting current and emerging foreign leaders with their American counterparts through short-term visits to the United States.
