Industry Ready Engineers With B&R Automation

In line with the vision of the School of Engineering and Applied Science to create Industry Ready Engineers, an MoU was signed between the School and Austria-headquartered automation equipment major B&R Industrial Automation Pvt Ltd. Valid for two years, the MoU seeks to support faculty and students, and accelerate understanding of the industry with an extensive schedule of hands-on training activities, seminars and industry guidance on research. As part of the MoU, a two-day on-campus training programme related to Industrial Automation and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) was held at Ahmedabad University on May 23 and 24, 2022. Faculty members from other Ahmedabad universities also participated in the training programme conducted by a B&R Automation engineer.  

Besides making the latest equipment available to Ahmedabad engineering students, B&R will deliver guest lectures to them sharing industry-relevant experience, and offer faculty and students an opportunity to attend conferences and seminars that it conducts. It will also suggest equipment to the School of Engineering and Applied Science to set up lab kits, and identify and technically support projects and research work which can be taken up by students and faculty of the School. Skilled students will also have the opportunity to participate in the recruitment drive by B&R.
