The Hindu reviews 'Navigating the Labyrinth: Perspectives on India’s Higher Education', Orient BlackSwan, 2017. The book is co-edited by Professor Devesh Kapur, Director, Center for Advanced Study of India, the University of Pennsylvania and Dr Pratap Bhanu Mehta, President, Centre for Policy Research. The book talks about the need for vocational education, multidisciplinary research universities to issues of internal governance and finance. The last chapter is contributed by Professor Chandra and it addresses the issue of governance in the University. Professor Jeemol Unni, Professor, Economics and Public Policy Area, Amrut Mody School of Management, has also contributed to the book where she has shared her insights about the issue of labour market mismatch which prevents education in contributing towards inclusive growth and social mobility.
