Ahmedabad University's Sports Director Named FIH Technical Official

Sonia Bathla, Director of Sports at Ahmedabad University, has been appointed Technical Official by the Federation of International Hockey (FIH) for the 2024–25 FIH Men's Nation Cup-II. The event will be held in Muscat, Oman, from February 14-24, 2025.

Besides being the University's Director of Sports, Sonia Bathla is a former national hockey player and the recipient of the Hockey India President Award for Best Technical Official of the Year for 2023.

In her distinguished career, she has officiated at other august tournaments, including the Commonwealth Games in August 2022, the Men's World Cup in January 2023, and the FIH Pro League in February 2024.
