Ahmedabad alumnus Binoy Parikh, BCom, Class of 2012, has been named the Youngest Independent Director on the board of Sarda Energy and Minerals, a listed company, since August 2023. Media outlets such as the Times of India have recognised his achievement.  

Currently an Executive Director of Katalyst Advisors Private Limited, Binoy has also been an Independent Director in Batliboi (a 132-year-old listed company) and Quickmills Inc. (a Canadian company) since February 2024. Previously, he was associated with the M&A team at PwC and KPMG.

Binoy is responsible for a wide range of experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions. "I intend to be a thorough professional in the Indian M&A space, leveraging my expertise in helping corporations navigate complex deals and adhere to the highest standards of corporate governance," said Binoy.

On his appointment, Binoy noted that including young people brings dynamism, bridging the age diversity gap. Such a strategy brings forth different and fresh perspectives on the changing environment, helping the organisations stay relevant.

Binoy is also a Trustee in Humara Bachppan Trust, a not-for-profit organisation promoting safe and healthy living conditions with improved socio-economic status of underprivileged communities, since 2021. “My involvement with such organisations is a way of giving back to society, to uplift weaker sections of the society through empowerment, education, and health,” he added.
