The Nalanda - Art in Society : Its Relevance and Function as a Mediator of Experience and Knowledge
In the fifth session of The Nalanda, the University facilitated a vibrant conversation on "Art in Society: Its relevance and function as a mediator of experience and knowledge”. The speaker of the session, Rekha Rodwittiya is an artist and a lecturer of Contemporary Arts and the first recipient of the prestigious Inlaks Fine Arts Scholarship. The conversation incited active response and energetic interaction between the speaker and the students. The idea behind such conversations in The Nalanda is to not only to encourage innovation and generation of new ideas but also significantly marks an attempt to sustain the Indian tradition of inquiry and knowledge dissemination.
