In India, many organisations are pushing for remote work to reduce real estate costs, but the workforce lacks digital infrastructure and a conducive work-from-home environment.

While remote working has created opportunities, additional family care responsibilities in the pandemic have discouraged many women from taking up jobs, exacerbating gender inequality.
