Eligibility Criteria for Cambridge/ IB Board

Cambridge Board Eligibility

  • Minimum Five (5) subjects qualified at IGCSE/GCSE/GCE “O” Level Examinations, including English, of the approved British Examining Bodies, has been equated with Grade 10 of an Indian Board.
  • Minimum Two (2) Subjects qualified at GCE “Advanced” (A) Level Examination of the approved British Examining Bodies, has been equated with 2+ stage qualifications of an Indian Board.
  • The Subject wise eligibility shall be decided by the Admission giving University as per their existing Rules.
  • Cambridge AICE Diploma is not recognized in India.
  • FOR UGANDA & TANZANIA – Equivalence shall be issued by AIU only if student has obtained minimum 2 principal and 2 subsidiary passes.

IB Board Eligibility

  • IB Diploma/ Course (Certificate) AIU shall accord equivalence to both the IB Diploma and the IB Diploma Course (i.e. IB Certificate) provided that a student has secured a minimum of 24 credits and has passed a minimum of three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at Lower Level (SL).
  • Career-related Programme (CP) - 2 DP Subjects with at least 01 subject at HL Level & minimum 3 points in each DP Subjects. Career Related Study (CRS) with at least 03 subjects.

For Foreign students

The students who have passed their qualifying examination from schools located outside India (affiliation board other than CBSE, ISCE, IB and Cambridge) are required to produce the equivalency certificate from the Association of Indian University. The same certificate is required to be produced at the time of admission.
