Aravind Panicker has worked as a Faculty Member in areas of Marketing & Entrepreneurship with AMSOM since 2013. He is a MBA in Marketing and has previously been involved in Marketing & Strategy roles with various organisations in his 11 year career.
At Ahmedabad University, Aravind has covered courses in a number of areas including Operations, Sales & Marketing. He has an interest in understanding the behavioral implications that govern the decision making of modern day consumers & managers. Especially where the the involvement of technology gives access to a larger amount of data regarding options, tastes, attitudes & choices. It is this same interest that is governing his PhD studies being undertaken as ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad.
He was previously engaged with Piramal Healthcare Limited, where his last held responsibility was that of Brand Manager. In his 3 years in Piramal, Aravind performed various roles including sales & marketing support systems. After leaving Piramal, Aravind was engaged by the Yash Birla Group as a member of the Strategic Planning team. This stint though was short-lived and he moved to Ahmedabad in 2012.
He also operates as Consultant based out of Ahmedabad advising start-ups on strategy & marketing. He also conducts workshops for corporates & institutions across the state in the learning & decision making matrix.
He spends his spare time building and updating his own personal library or is spotted zipping around on his Royal Enfield; off exploring the world.
“Leadership Development in Practice: A Review of Common Practices, their Fallacies and Means to Overcome Gaps” was published as a chapter in the Book – Business Excellence and Leadership: Transforming HR for Enhanced Organizational Capability in 2015 at NICOM-2015. Co-written and presented with Amrita Bihani, Sr. Lecturer AMSOM, Ahmedabad University.
