Professor Agarwala has held successful academic appointments in Denmark and Singapore. Her work bridges multiple disciplines including electronics engineering, materials science, and healthcare, with focus on developing next-generation sustainable electronic materials and devices. She has a vision to drive environmental responsibility in electronics by creating fully biodegradable material systems and green devices fabricated through low-energy processes. The research finds impactful applications in healthcare for muscle atrophy treatment, wound monitoring and healing, and eczema. She completed her master’s degree at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and earned her PhD from the National University of Singapore. She further honed her expertise in printed electronics at the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing before transitioning to a faculty role in Denmark, where she expanded her research and academic leadership. An active contributor to the global scientific community, she has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications across prestigious journals, books, and international conferences. She is also a seasoned entrepreneur, having co-founded multiple successful ventures focused on sustainable technologies, green innovation, and digital healthcare.  A Senior Member of IEEE, she serves as Chair of IEEE Women in Engineering, Denmark Section, championing gender diversity in engineering and advocating for women in STEM globally.
