Students Win Big at Khel Mahakumbh 3.0

Ahmedabad University students showed their athletic prowess at Khel Mahakumbh 3.0, a Gujarat government-organised state-level tournament to promote sports and fitness among the youth.

Our student, Neha Ribadia, BBA (Hons) Class of 2026, and an Ahmedabad University Tennis team member, clenched the Silver Medal in Women's Doubles at the Khel Mahakumbh 3.0 State Tournament. Neha represented Rajkot District in the Open Category (Singles and Doubles), showcasing unparalleled skill and dedication.

Adding to our list of achievements in the esteemed Khel Mahakumbh 3.0 tournament, three accomplished players from our Basketball Women's team- Bansari Boghara (BS (Hons) Class of 2027), Misha Bajaj (BTech Class of 2027), and Shubhangi Anuragi (Integrated MS Class of 2026)- represented the Ahmedabad district basketball team. Their exceptional contributions were climactic in the team securing the first position in the zonal round of this advanced-level Khel Mahakumbh competition, thus qualifying them for the state-level Khel Mahakumbh 3.0.

Furthering the celebratory atmosphere, University team members Misha Bajaj, Shubhangi Anuragi, and Nishi Shukla (BBA (Hons) Class of 2026) delivered an outstanding performance that was instrumental in their team securing the Silver Medal in Women's Basketball. Ahmedabad District lost against Bhavnagar to settle for silver.

These achievements offer glimpses into Ahmedabad University's dedication and commitment to supporting student-athletes by providing needed coaching, mentoring, and guidance, complemented by state-of-the-art sports facilities.
