Student Athletes Record Strong Performances Across Inter-University Sports Events

Ahmedabad University’s sports teams recorded strong performances across several inter-university tournaments during the 2025–26 academic year, securing multiple titles and runner-up finishes across football, volleyball, chess, and table tennis.

The Volleyball (Women) team secured first place at the AKHIL Cup, Ahmedabad, held from December 7–8, 2025.

The University continued its strong showing at the L J Cup, Ahmedabad, from January 30 to February 1, 2026, where the Football (Men) team won the title and the Chess (Mixed Team) finished as runners-up. At the GNLU Cup, Gandhinagar, held from March 1–3, 2026, the Volleyball (Women) and Football (Men) teams secured first place, while the Football (Women) team finished second.

The winning momentum continued at the Nirma Cup in Ahmedabad from March 9–11, 2026, where the Volleyball (Women) and Football (Men) teams emerged as champions. The Football (Men) team secured another title at the Karnavati University Cup, Gandhinagar, held from March 12–16, 2026.

Together, these performances reflected the growing participation and competitive strength of Ahmedabad University’s student athletes across sporting disciplines.
