Smit Mandavia (Student of BTech in ICT) is recruited by Google for the position of Software Engineering.

"I would like to thank the Programming Club, Ahmedabad University for introducing me to competitive programming in my first year itself. I have participated in almost all programming contests on CodeChef since November 2017. I think that really helped me in improving Data Structures and Algorithms, logic, speed of solving, Coding and Debugging skills. I really liked the idea of Project Based Learning at Ahmedabad University which helped and encouraged me to focus on understanding and application of various Computer Science fundamentals. I would say the methodology of teaching was perfect at Ahmedabad University. A very good rank in programming competitions like Google Kickstart helped me in getting an interview. For interview preparation, I was quite confident about problem solving and the Data Structures and Algorithms part. I also took some mock interviews with some of my friends and focused on communication skills."
