BTech Student secures admission in Carnegie Mellon University

Akash Prasad from Ahmedabad University has done his alma mater proud by bagging a seat at Carnegie Mellon University, USA…one of the New Ivies. Read on to know more on this from Akash -

"I recently completed my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ahmedabad University. Thanks to the interdisciplinary education that Ahmedabad University offers, I was involved in many areas apart from core mechanical engineering. One area that significantly caught my attention and became the ultimate choice for making my career was Renewable Energy. At this point I have been admitted to ‘Master of Science in Energy Science, Technology and Policy’ at Carnegie Mellon University in the USA, which is again an interdisciplinary program. The transition from a bachelor's degree holder to an incoming graduate student at one of the ‘New Ivies’ was smoother for me than expected. I am deeply grateful to my family; friends; professors; and all who have directly or indirectly helped me in reaching this milestone in my academic career. An education at Ahmedabad University truly ascertains that the world is one’s oyster!"
