Arth Modi (BTech ’21) to Study Management at IIM Bangalore

Ahmedabad Alumnus Arth Modi, BTech in Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Science, has secured admission to IIM Bangalore. Arth, who has studied on scholarships since grade XI, says, "When I was at Ahmedabad University, a large part of my life was about maintaining financial independence. The University gave me diverse experiences and exposure, and a chance to engage with faculty and students from different Schools and disciplines. That helped me sharpen my focus on studying at IIM."

Arth had converted IIM Jammu and IIM Amritsar in his first two attempts at the CAT qualifying examination. However, he waited for a better conversion. The young man, who also worked with Amazon, says, "I felt that I could do better. It was a tough decision for me as with my family background, qualifying for IIM itself is a huge thing. I started working as a part-time 'doubt solver' on an institute post my working hours just to make sure I stay in the competition and kept working towards my goal."
