Ahmedabad University retains its recognition as a Centre of Excellence

Ahmedabad University has once again been recognised as a Centre for Excellence (CoE) by the Government of Gujarat, this time for a period of six years. This marks the second consecutive recognition, awarded after a rigorous and comprehensive evaluation process.

In the words of Professor Pankaj Chandra, Vice Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Management, to the University community: “This recognition is a testament to your innovative and involved thinking, hard work, care in everything that we do, and amazing student outcomes. It will help us go forward on our journey and motivate us to keep creating impact. At a more personal level, I thank you all for being there every time we needed you.”

This honour is a strong endorsement of our efforts to reimagine the classroom, champion interdisciplinary learning, and build a distinctive environment for liberal arts education in India. It reaffirms our belief that with autonomy comes responsibility, and that institution building anchored in purpose can create lasting impact.
