Research
Professor Deshpande authored a working paper on using contract research organization (CRO) as an innovative research and development strategy in the pharmaceutical industry and presented it at the AIBA International Conference through Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. His doctoral research focused on the costs of syndication of private equity firms, which involved case study of investment cases from a proprietary database, addressing a long-standing gap in the academic literature on the adverse effects of syndication.
