Dharamashi Rabari is an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ahmedabad University. He earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati). Before pursuing his doctoral studies, he spent five years teaching at Nirma University.
He completed his M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from Nirma University in 2008 and his B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Gujarat University in 2005.
His research focuses on the application of ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents (DES) in separation processes, particularly extraction-based separation, as well as the use of DES in CO₂ cycloaddition reactions. His broader research interests include thermodynamic modelling using equations of state, process simulation and optimization, quantum chemistry, and molecular simulations. Through his research and teaching, he aims to advance sustainable chemical processes and explore innovative solutions to industrial and environmental challenges.
