Research Areas

Inter-disciplinary, application oriented research in the cutting edge area of nano-bio interface (such as Nanobiotechnology, Nanomedicine, Nanotoxicology, Environmental Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Bioengineering, Stem cells research) with a goal to enrich the human and environmental life.


Qualifications

First Class (60% and above) in MSc/MTech in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Nanotechnology, Toxicology, Bioinformatics, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Forensic Sciences (Biology/Chemistry) or equivalent degree in subjects related to biological sciences.


Selection Process

All candidates with first class in a relevant Master’s degree are encouraged to apply. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test and only candidates qualifying the written test will be requested to appear for a final interview. The dates of the written test and interview will be announced after the last date of application to the PhD program.

NET-JRF qualified candidates (CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT/DST INSPIRE) will be exempted from the written test and will be required to appear directly for the interview. Candidates with valid fellowships from other equivalent state and national level fellowships are also encouraged to apply. The final dates of the interview will be communicated after the last date of application to the PhD program.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview for selection. No TA/DA will be provided to candidates for appearing in the interview.
