Integrated Arts and Psychology Workshop
Psychology Workshop: Psychocinematics: The Psychology of Cinematic Experience
How does your brain experience motion pictures? In this workshop we explore the field of psychocinematics – an interdisciplinary area at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience and cinematography. Through demonstrations, film analysis and hand-on activities we attempt to understand how we perceive motion, experience emotion and build narratives in a motion picture. We will explore the psychological mechanism underlying the cinematic experience drawing ideas from cognitive psychology, neuroscience and aesthetics. The workshop aims for a deeper understanding of perception and cognition through the lens of cinematics.

Integrated Arts Workshop: Bringing Art to Life
"How is an idea built and taken forward through a range of artistic languages? In this workshop, participants will explore how disciplines such as visual arts, story-telling, theatre, and poetry can come together to address a socially relevant topic. Through hands-on activity, the workshop will demonstrate the contemporary and interdisciplinary nature of performing and visual arts. Brief discussions on a few artists’ work in the history of performing and visual arts will also emphasise the role of art in society, bridging the gaps between the artistic endeavours of creative individuals and contemporary social issues."
