Electrocatalytic water splitting is a promising and sustainable approach for hydrogen production, offering a clean alternative to fossil fuels. My research focuses on developing efficient and stable electrocatalysts to enhance the hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions, key half-reactions in water electrolysis.
My work focuses on exploring transition metal-based oxides, spinels, perovskites, and other nanomaterials to enhance catalytic activity, durability, and cost-effectiveness. By optimising catalyst composition, supporting and doping strategies, and synthesis methods like solution combustion, sol-gel, and electrochemical reduction, this research aims to develop next-generation electrocatalysts for efficient and scalable water-splitting technologies.
