Research Interests: Gravitational Collapse

If a star exhausts its nuclear fuel, then the pressure that balances the central gravitational pull, keeping it stable, vanishes. So, the star collapses under its self-gravity, and this physical procedure is called gravitational collapse. I study similar collapse processes for scalar fields, which are matter fields with a fundamental matter Lagrangian. In such collapse scenarios, I try to find the end-state: regular or singular. If singular, I analyse their visibility by an external observer.
