My PhD research explores the optimisation of Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) within 6G-enabled Vehicular-to-Everything (V2X) networks by designing and developing advanced optimisation frameworks. While prior research has primarily focused on single-antenna systems or simplified multi-antenna setups, my work expands to a generalised networked scenario featuring multi-antenna Roadside Units (RSUs) in a V2X environment. The objective is to jointly enhance communication and sensing by exploring advanced resource allocation strategies, interference management, transmit power control, beamforming designs and signal processing techniques. Key challenges include balancing the trade-offs between communication and sensing signals, achieving precise synchronisation, and utilising interference cancellation capabilities in advanced vehicular receivers. This research aims to establish a robust ISAC optimisation framework, leveraging convex optimisation techniques and validated through extensive simulations in WiLab V2XSim, along with Monte Carlo simulations in MATLAB and Python, to advance the potential of ISAC for intelligent and dynamic V2X systems in future transportation networks.
