This year, the “Joy of Giving” event focuses on “imparting knowledge” by raising awareness about menstrual health and personal safety, including the concepts of ‘good touch’ and ‘bad touch’, through interactive and educational activities. University students will actively participate in the event by adding personalised notes to each of the menstrual care kits for girls provided by the SAATH Charitable Trust. These kits will be distributed during an educational session led by Dr Nima Patel, with a focus on the empowerment, hygiene, and safety of girls. By offering practical knowledge on menstruation, self-protection and touch ethics, the event aims to build resilience and self-awareness among young girls, ensuring better access to both health and information for them.
