Visit to Red Cross Thalassemia and Blood Bank Centre
Every year, thousands of patients - many of them children with thalassemia - depend on safe blood donations to survive, yet most of our campus has never seen what that survival actually requires. This semester's campaign aims to change that! It begins September 2nd with a visit to Red Cross, Ahmedabad's Thalassemia Centre and Blood Bank, where attendees can meet patients undergoing transfusions and see how blood is tested, stored, and matched for safety. Thalassemia is the entry point, not the whole story - the real goal is understanding blood donation itself. This isn't the finale, it's the fuel: the stories gathered here power everything that follows, building toward a campus-wide call to donate!
