Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Played on a badminton-sized court with a slightly modified tennis net, it uses a paddle and a plastic ball. The rules are simple, making it an accessible and enjoyable sport for people of all ages, offering them an opportunity for a friendly competition. The game, which can be played in singles or doubles format, emphasises strategy and technique over sheer power.

Why Pickleball?
We chose pickleball for our event due to its growing popularity and the enthusiasm expressed by students. Promoting inclusivity and engagement, the sport is suitable for players of varying skill levels. The game's unique blend of elements from other racquet sports makes it exciting and fun, encouraging participation from a wide range of students. This tournament aims to introduce and promote pickleball as a dynamic activity for sports enthusiasts within our university community.
