Ahmedabad University student Hitansh Dembla from the Class of 2029 secured a national berth and clinched multiple medals at the state level in shooting championships.
Hitansh recently participated in the South Zone Shooting Championship 2025-26, organised by the Kerala State Rifle Association under the aegis of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI). His performance was strong enough to qualify him for the upcoming national championships in the 25M Sports Pistol event.
Additionally, Hitansh showcased his precision and focus at the Tamil Nadu State Shooting Championship (conducted by the NRAI), where he won five medals, including two Gold medals (one individual and one team) in the 25 Metres Standard Pistol Junior Men category.
In addition to his Gold medals, Hitansh also secured a Silver Team medal in the 50 Metre Free Pistol (Junior Men) event, as well as a Bronze Individual medal in the 10 Metre Air Pistol (Youth Men) and a Bronze Team medal in the 25 Metre Centre Fire Pistol (Men) categories.
